Ali MacGraw
Ali MacGraw aka Elizabeth Alice MacGraw was an American actress, activist for animals and author who won several Awards. Her work has received acclaim by films such as Love Story (from 1970), Goodbye Columbus, (1969) as well as The Getaway, (1972). New York was her home and she was brought up in an artistic environment. Her first position was an assistant to photographers. Then she moved on to acting and modeling. Her two first films were noticed and she received recognition with the Golden Globe Award of Most Promising newcomer. MacGraw's 1970 film Love Story proved a major smash and brought her world recognition and an Academy Award' nomination and a Golden Globe award. After only three movies MacGraw was named one of the most successful women film in the history of box offices. In 1972, her foot-prints along with her signature were recorded on the wall of Grauman's Chinese Theater. The other films she's appeared in are The Getaway Convoy Players as in the mini-series on TV The Winds of War. Moving Pictures, her 1991 autobiography, came out. MacGraw is married three times.
