Adele

AdeleAdele Mara (April 28, 1923 until May 7, 2010 American) was an American performer and actress. She was a part of films during the 1940s and 1950s[2] and on television in 1950s and 1960s. With the professional name Adele St. Mara, she won a contract with Columbia Pictures[citation requiredand was able to gain experience in the studio's "B" features and comedy shorts. Soon, this was shortened to Adele Mara. Mara was the receptionist in Three Stooges' film I Can Hardly Wait. Mara Brooks and Leslie Brooks were the sisters of Rita Hayworth in the Fred Astaire film You Were Never Lovelier. Brooks plays Alias Boston Blackie (1942), as the sister to the wrongfully accused and exiled convict. The film was released by Republic Pictures after her Columbia contract was ended. The studio specialized in films based on westerns and outdoor adventures. [citation needed] She starred in The Vampire's Ghost, Wake of the Red Witch featuring John Wayne, Angel In Exile (leading woman), Sands of Iwo Jima where John Agar is the love interest, California Passage as well as Don Siegel's Count the Hours.
